Mild Coronavirus 2019 Infection

The first cases of coronavirus 2019 infection (COVID-19) were identified in Wuhan, China. The infections increased rapidly and developed into a pandemic which has spread throughout the world. Most patients with Coronavirus 2019 infection have a mild presentation but some patients may have a severe infection which may require hospitalization and others may need intensive care management. Many patients have died. This article looks at the symptoms and management of mild coronavirus 2019 infection. The mild infection may be managed at home but if the symptoms worsen the patient must know when to seek medical advice.
